About Mary Beth Abbey

Mary Beth Abbey is a dedicated teaching professional and collaborative grade level and cross-functional team leader, specializing in the facilitation of learning in multi-age environments. Her professional experience includes implementing integrated, standards-aligned curriculum which is effectively supported through differentiated instructional practices. Mary Beth serves as Foothills Academy’s Director of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art+Design, & Math). She facilitates STEAM classes for elementary and 8th grades, and teachers STEM Science to 7th and 9th grades. She is an energetic and committed educational leader for whom FA is grateful.

Why did you choose to become a teacher?
After spending fifteen years as a professional in the business community working strategic analyses and training adults in both manufacturing and corporate environments, I decided to shift my focus back to serving children.

Current G.P.A. at GCU- 4.0. Being a role model as a life long learner. Raising two pretty cool kids with my wonderful husband, Bob. Just sayin’
