About Hannah Rude
Born in Denver but Phoenix raised, I am proud to call Arizona my home. After finishing high school, I pursued a degree in history from Arizona State University. I was so excited about school that as soon as my diploma was shipped, I went back for my Master’s in Education. When I am not at trivia night or reading a good book (please send suggestions my way), my two cats (Marie and Cookie) keep me busy at my home in Scottsdale!

The best thing about teaching: The best thing about teaching is the relationships formed with the students. This is crucial stage in their educational lives and to be there to watch and help them grow into such amazing young adults is what makes it all worth it.
Some of my favorite things:
- Color: Teal (Turquoise)
- Food: Any type of potato, chocolate, BBQ pulled pork, chicken and dumplings
- Book: Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (it’s a tie)
- Subject: History
- Hobby: Reading and trivia games
- Sports Team: Football! ASU and Broncos
If I wasn’t a teacher, I would be: either running for local government or working as a researcher at the collegiate level.
Why did you choose to become a teacher?
I wanted to use my passion (history) to teach students life skills that they will carry with them through college and their careers. (This does not include just memorizing history dates!)
