WELCOME TO FOOTHILLS ACADEMY ELEMENTARY PREPARATORY

Dr. Jane White, NBCT
Principal, Foothills Elementary

Foothills Academy is a community that takes great pride in preparing our students to be compassionate leaders and active participants in the world of global collaboration. We believe in the education of the whole child and that education is a lifelong pursuit.

We maintain class sizes of 20 or less to support a  personal atmosphere throughout the Academy.

We pride ourselves in building a community were all feel welcome. Families know one another, they are connected, even carpool, and work together to make Foothills Academy a great school. I lead an incredible family of teachers, administrative staff, and volunteers who ensure high standards are set and maintained for student achievement. The goal of Foothills Academy is to facilitate intellectual growth, curiosity, mental flexibility, perseverance and self-reflection.

This common goal, built on respect and responsibility, defines the Foothills way.

I have always been so impressed by the kindness with which students treat each other at Foothills Academy. I am inspired by the prestigious colleges Foothills graduates gain admission to and the success they go on to achieve as adults. I look forward to ensuring the future we create reflects our high standards. My door is always open to the Foothills Academy family and community.

STUDENT LIFE

First hand experiences are gained through field trips and community partnerships resulting in deepening students’ learning. For example, the FCF Desert Awareness Committee works with our students to educate them about our environment.

FAMILY RESOURCES

Foothills Academy provides multiple resources and avenues to participate in the school community. The PTO is very active in organizing community events for the school as well as fundraising. Parent volunteers work in classrooms, participate in field trips, and led our ongoing Mini Museum project.

FOOTHILLS ACADEMY STEAM CHALLENGE

The National Math and Science initiative reports that the United States is losing its competitive edge in math and science while the rest of the world soars ahead.
